French language camp in France

French language camp Club Lumière is in the Mediterranean! We are heading to the south of France, in Occitany, where we will be welcomed by small fishing towns, by many local traditions and especially by the unique nature. This part of France attracts true lovers of "classic France". Language immersion, French teachers and animators, accommodation in the Domaine du Lazaret rest center, outings, water sports, aquapark, underwater life of the Mediterranean, the ancient cities of Sète, Narbonne, Montpellier, Marseille.

The French language camp Club Lumière has introduced the concept of the practical use of the acquired competencies in French in real-life situations in France into its new program “The linguistic survival strategy. Occitany”. Overcoming the language barrier, natural language communication, the ability to navigate the "French reality" - these are the main tasks of the project of the French language camp Club Lumière.

Project “Linguistic Survival Strategy. Occitania” of the French language camp Club Lumière will be held in the south of France, in the small but very cozy town of Sète. It's not far from Montpellier, on the Mediterranean coast, where we will be welcomed by the Domaine du Lazaret recreation center. On the territory of the Center there are buildings with comfortable rooms (showers and toilets in the rooms), classrooms, a hall for mass events, a restaurant, training classes, a fenced protected area, and a private beach.

In program “Strategy of Linguistic Survival. Occitany” the French language camp Club Lumière will create daily situations of contact and communication with the French. The program is designed to enhance and develop the acquired skills in the natural language environment, which will allow participants to continue to feel confident and independent in the French-speaking country.

The French language classes are in the morning from 10.00 to 12.00. The communicative methods are used in an interactive form. The active participation of children in the classes. The use of the method “Tandem”, the development of creativity, the overcoming of the language barrier.

The afternoon is dedicated to the practical tasks such as buying certain goods on the market or in a store, choosing the best route from point A to point B, buying tickets for public transport, requesting necessary information at the information desk, finding solutions specific tasks at the station and at the airport, order in a cafe and in a restaurant. And also, thematic workshops, sports events, tours, creative studio.

Our team Club Lumière – it’s a harmonious Franco-Ukrainian “mechanism” consisting of the professionals in pedagogical skills and the experienced animators. The French teachers have French diplomas FLE (French as a foreign language), receive training and work all over the world (Norway, Mexico, Georgia, Germany, Ukraine). Ukrainian French-speaking animators are involved in European internships of intercultural exchanges, have experience in the creation of projects for young people, develop their animation programs.

A rich excursion and entertainment program in Occitania. Participants will get acquainted with the ancient cities of the era of the Roman Empire, take a fascinating boat trip along the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, take part in karting competitions and treasure hunts, try their hand at driving a kayak and a sailboat, get a boost of energy in the water park, get acquainted with the sights of Sète, Montpellier, Marseille.

The cost of participation in the «Club Lumière. Occitany» program is 2 200 Euros. The cost includes:

• accommodation in a room for 4 persons;
• three meals a day;
• French language classes with native speakers (40 hours);
